The definition of truly healthy whole grains cereal is a cereal which is not processed or minimally processed (cracked, extruded, rolled and puffed) where no change has been made to its nutritional profile and also has all three edible parts (the germ, bran and the endosperm) intact.

The cereals  in the current  market have added sugar along with candied fruits and dry fruits added in the name of health which imparts only empty calories minus the nutrients.

Incorporating whole grains in diet is not just another fad but a healthier way of living. Whole grains is healthy and is packed with important nutrients like protein, carbohydrates (Yes! they give you energy) healthy fats (good hair, skin and nails) and fiber along with other essential vitamins and minerals.

Fiber has been an important part of diet for a very long time. It has numerous health benefits like lowering cholesterol (Beta- glucan is a naturally occurring soluble fiber in oats), maintaining the blood sugar levels, providing energy for the day and they are known to keep you full for a long time therefore managing weight.

Few tips on How to incorporate whole grain in your everyday diet:
